Legislative preference polls
What is P-poll.org?
The goal of P-poll.org is to offer free legislative preference polls to U.S. citizens on important bills up for a vote in the House of Representatives. Like the example on the right side of this page, it would be a yes-or-no poll, that’s all.
How would it work?
Legislative preference polls, like voting, would be voluntary. If you choose to participate when P-poll.org goes live, our plan is to send you an email or text message once a week notifying you of the bills that your U.S. Representative may be voting on soon. You would have the option of indicating to your Representative your voting preference on those bills.
Why do we need it?
P-poll.org could make the will of the American people visible on House bills, thereby making any misrepresentation visible as well. Any gross misrepresentation would dramatize the problem of the political impotence of average U.S. citizens, urging more of us to become engaged in the process of legislation.
Who is behind it?
Just regular people. No special interests, corporations, or lobbyists. See Who we are for more information about our organization.
